Last Call to Apply for Hispanic Youth Institute Kick-Off in Six Regions

WASHINGTON (March 22, 2011) - The Hispanic College Fund (HCF) announces a last call for freshmen and sophomore high school students to apply for the Hispanic Youth Institute (HYI) Kick-Off, formerly the Hispanic Youth Symposium, which will be held this Summer at various university campuses. The six regions calling for final applications include: Central Valley, Calif; Dallas, Texas; Maryland; New Mexico; Silicon Valley, Calif.; and Virginia. The program requires only a $10 commitment from students; lodging and food will be covered; area students will also be provided transportation to the event. The application is available online at www.hispanicyouth.org until March 31, 2011. The deadline to apply for Arizona and Los Angeles is April 30, 2011. Approximately 100-200 students will participate in each program.
